The invention provides a digital composite apparatus capable of analyzing a received command which is a request for a process, and generating a job. Except for the setting and process relating to the entire job, the job is divided and processed in binders constituting a smaller work unit. Except for the setting and process relating to the entire binder, the binder is divided and processed in documents constituting an even smaller work unit. A device to be used in the job is determined in the digital composite apparatus according to such request for process, and the process is assigned in the unit of a binder or in the unit of a document to thus determined device.
