Nonhuman animal models non-responsive to a myoplasma-origin lipoprotein/lipopeptide; and a method of screening an inhibitor or a promoter for the response to a mycoplasma-origin lipoprotein by using these animal models. A nonhuman animal model (for example, TLR6 knockout mouse) having the deletion of the gene function encoding a protein specifically recognizing a mycoplasma-origin lipoprotein such as TLR6 on its chromosome is constructed. By using this nonhuman animal model non-responsive to the mycoplasma-origin lipoprotein or immunocytes (macrophage, etc.) originating in this nonhuman animal model, a test substance and the mycoplasma-origin lipoprotein, the response to the mycoplasma-origin lipoprotein in the above-described non-human animal model or immunocytes is assayed and evaluated, thereby screening an inhibitor or a promoter for the response thereto.
|
