PURPOSE: An auction performing method and server is provided to enable auction participants to modify bidding prices in the case that there is no bid winning price so that it can increase a successful bidding ratio. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of enabling a seller to access an auction server and to register items on a bidding list by inputting detailed data, a minimum bidding price, and an initial bidding price(S310), enabling the seller or purchaser to refer a history of the bidding(S320), enabling the purchaser to make a tender for the listed items and storing the tendered conditions at a database(S330), determining a modification of a minimum bidding price, a completion of the auction or selecting a bid winner(S340), notifying the seller that a modification of the minimum bidding price is necessary, enabling the seller to input a new minimum bidding price and updating the database(S350), transmitting a list of tenderers outbidding the minimum bid price to the seller and enabling the seller to select one among the outbidding tenderers(S360), and notifying both the seller and the bid winner of the bidding result(S370).
