The radar sensor has an array of patch antennas in form a combination of filled and thinned out subarrays of patch antennas. The amplitude and phase of signals received by filled and thinned out subarray of patch antennas are detected. The output signal of the radar sensor is calculated as the difference from the product and the amplitude of the differences of the signals of the subarrays.
