An article formed into a honeycomb being produced by extruding a mixture of a powdery material and a molding binder, wherein a mixture of a wax and a thermoplastic resin is used as the binder, characterized in that the binder comprises the thermoplastic resin in an amount of 5 to 50 wt %. The article formed into a honeycomb enables the large scale production of a honeycomb having a thin partition wall of a thickness of 25 to 100 m without causing cracking of the honeycomb or deformation of a mouth piece for use in extrudi ng and with good efficiency.
