<p>The present invention is directed to methods and compositions for use of homologous recombination for directed evolution, gene reassembly, and directed mutagenesis. One aspect of the present invention relates to methods for use of bacterial conjugative transfer and homologous recombination for directed evolution, gene reassembly, and directed mutagenesis.
