A layer structure on a substrate surface (9a) comprises a metallic lower layer (10a) made of an amorphous metallic passivating material formed on the substrate; a textured intermediate layer (10b) made of an oxidic intermediate layer material on the lower layer; and a textured covering layer (21) made of a further oxidic material on the intermediate layer. An Independent claim is also included for the production of the layer structure. Preferred Features: The passivating material is made of at least one metallic element of the intermediate material. The substrate is a ZrO2 ceramic. The intermediate material is a metal oxide, titanate, aluminate, gallate or manganate, preferably MgO, ZrO, Y2O3, CaO, CeO2, Pr6O11, SrTiO3, BaTiO3, LaAlO3 or NdGaO3. The covering layer is made of an oxidic superconducting material.
