The method involves emitting sound signals in the detection area and measuring the reflected sound signals. Sound signals are measured in the frequency range of human speech with several sound detection elements, the time displacement is measured between the signals measured by the elements and the position of the signal source is computed from the time displacement and the positions of the sound detection elements.
