PURPOSE: A method for displaying advertisement information of a public telephone is provided to optimize an advertisement effect by displaying moving picture advertisement information provided from a sponsor on a moving picture advertisement region and displaying a sponsor name and abbreviated sponsor information on a banner advertisement region. CONSTITUTION: If a user selects a free call function of a public telephone(S1), a CPU displays a display window on which buttons for indicating names of various sponsors are arranged on an LCD panel(S2) and requests that the user selects the certain number of sponsor names among the displayed buttons(S3). If the user successively selects the sponsor names(S4), the CPU detects banner advertisement information and moving picture advertisement information linked to a corresponding sponsor name stored in a memory(S5), and displays banner advertisement information on a banner advertisement region and displays moving picture advertisement information on a moving picture advertisement region(S6). The CPU executes a program stored in the memory and displays a telephone number input window so that the user inputs a telephone number on the LCD panel(S7). If the user inputs the telephone number(S8), and controls a call circuit through an interface unit and calls a telephone number of an object through the call circuit(S9).
