METHOD FOR PRESERVING PERISHABLE PRODUCTS, ESPECIALLY FLOWERS, FRUITS AND VEGETABLES, AND CORRESPONDING DEVICE

The method and corresponding device are designed to preserve perishable products, more particularly flowers, plants and vegetables, involving consta nt production of a filtered air current or flow free from exogenous ethylene at desired temperature and humidity levels and guiding it through a diffuser device/container in which the final product is grouped in the way it will be displayed and sold so that permanent renewal of the air surrounding the product is achieved, thereby displacing endogenous ethylene and preventing i ts accumulation and binding. The product is also exposed to desired atmospheric conditions. This makes it possible to display the product permanently withou t having to set up a barrier between the product and the public. Moreover, the method makes it possible to treat the products with sprayed or gaseous chemical compounds without requiring additional handling.
