A procedure for the operation of a diesel engine working with exhaust feedback and turbo-charging has processing of control parameters in an engine control apparatus and control of the exhaust feedback rate by control of an exhaust feedback valve and a throttle in the air supply running across the compressor with regard to emission, consumption and/or travel properties of the vehicle. The feature is the control of the throttle (8) and the exhaust gas feedback valve with regard to a formation of vacuum in non-critical work regimes of the engine concerning emission, consumption and/or travel properties of the vehicle and branching off of the vacuum for consumers of the air supply to be connected. |
