The invention relates to a device for determining the mass flow rate of liquids, especially fuels or similar. The device comprises a volumeter for determining the volume of the liquid and a pressure difference measuring device for determining the pressure difference along a particular flow path of the liquid. The mass flow rate of the liquid to be analysed can be calculated from Bernoulli's equation, the continuity equation and the equation mass equals volume times density. The advantages of the inventive device lie in the possibility of providing a value that is independent of temperature, which is particularly advantageous for fuel pumps of service stations and for general chemical processes.
