Flowering regulators containing compounds of the general formula (I) (including 4-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-phenyl-3-(1,2,4- triazolyl)butan-2-ol) or salts thereof: (I) wherein R<1> is lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, or optionally substituted phenyl; R<2> is lower alkyl or optionally substituted phenyl; and R<3> is optionally substituted phenyl.
