PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compactly constituted automatic ice making device of a refrigerator which can easily be leveled. SOLUTION: For the purpose of detecting a leveled position in an initial state, rotation in a reverse direction by 0.5 seconds is made, and then current value A1 is detected when rotation in a normal direction by one second is made. Current value A2 is detected when rotation in the reverse direction by 1 second is made. Detection is made on whether normal rotation range or twist rotation range is concerned on the basis of the current values A1 and A2, and then an ice making pan 26 is made to return to the leveled position.
