PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an air bag system provided with a means for efficiently executing failure analysis processing after detecting a failure. SOLUTION: This control device for the air bag system is provided with a data acquiring means for periodically acquiring the acting status data of the air bag system; a data encoding means for encoding the acting status data acquired by the data acquiring means; and a data recording means for recording the latest acting status data encoded by the data encoding means, in a non- volatile memory when detecting the failure of the air bag system.
