摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate such a trouble that the illumination range is deviated accompanying the positional adjustment of a focusing screen and the display index is not appropriately illuminated because illuminating light is tilted and radiated to the display index on the focusing screen. SOLUTION: In this finder device, the focusing screen 6 where the display index within a finder 7 is formed is arranged in a finder optical system so that its position can be adjusted in the perpendicular direction of the focusing screen, and the display index is illuminated by illuminating light emitted from a light source 3 and passing through a diaphragm aperture part 4, and displayed within finder field. The longitudinal and lateral dimension of the diaphragm aperture part is made different so that the length in a superposing direction on the optical axis of the illuminating light in the radiation range of the illuminating light on the focusing screen may be longer than that in an orthogonal direction to the superposing direction when the longitudinal and lateral dimension of the diaphragm aperture part is the same in terms of vision from the perpendicular direction of the focusing screen when the optical axis of the illuminating light radiated to the focusing screen is tilted to the perpendicular direction of the focusing screen.
