PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film thermally adherable to a metal plate, excellent in molding processability, free from the generation of problems such as whitening, peeling or micro cracks even with crystallization treatment, and capable of easily obtaining a metal cane excellent in flavor property and shock resistance, under conditions of sufficient productivity. SOLUTION: The film comprises a polyester resin composition obtained by compounding (A) 10-70 wt.% of a polyethylene terephthalate resin and (B) 90-30 wt.% of a resin selected from polybutylene terephthalate and polyethylene 2,6-naphthalate. The film has >=2 melting peaks in a region of >=180 deg.C and <280 deg.C in a differential scanning calorimeter(DSC) after standing for 10 min in an atmosphere of 270 deg.C.
