PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting device of two members such as piping elements, having high reliability and high workability in connection and free from loosening or the like. SOLUTION: This connecting device has locking hook parts 9 respectively formed on side faces of plural engagement projecting parts 8 axially projecting from a tip part of an engagement member mounted on an end part of a piping element, and relatively engaged in the circumferential direction to control the axial movement, edge parts 22 free from overhang are respectively partially formed on the engagement faces of the locking hook parts 9, the other parts 21 are formed into the overhang shape, and the edge parts 22 are circumferentially engaged at an initial period of the engagement, and deformed when the load is acted in the engagement state, whereby the other overhang- shaped parts 21 are engaged.
