PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder liner controlling the deterioration in the roundness of the internal peripheral surface of the cylinder liner within an allowable range even if tightening the bolt which is penetrated to a cylinder block from a cylinder head. SOLUTION: The clearance is made large by the gap between the cylinder block 2 and the external peripheral region of the collar's lower section 13 of the cylinder liner 10 which is fitted to the section which varies large relatively in the internal peripheral surface of the cylinder block 2 when the bolt 5 penetrated from the cylinder head 3 to the cylinder block 2 is tightened, by reducing the radius of the collar's lower section 13 toward the collar section 11 continuously.
