DYNAMIC PRESSURE BEARING AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wear during slow rotation. SOLUTION: A shaft 3 integrated with a rotating polygon mirror 1 is fitted into a sleeve 2 having a dynamic pressure generation groove 2a to constitute a dynamic pressure bearing. The bearing surface of the sleeve 2 is rendered electrically conductive by a flush plating film 21 and a compound electroless plating film 22 containing a solid lubricant is formed on the bearing surface. The film is formed in a simple film formation process, whereby the wear resistance and lubricity of the bearing surface can be greatly enhanced.
