SOLUTION: This estimation device is provided with a bumper face which deforms by colliding with the obstacle, a deformation speed detection means 51 which detects deformation speed VB of the bumper face, an amount of deformation computing means 52 which determines the amount of deformation SB of the bumper face from the VB, a maximum value of deformation speed update means 54 which determines the maximum value of the VB to be the maximum value VM, a first reference speed generation means 55 which determines the reference value VT1 by multiplying the VM by a constant CV1 being less than 1.0, a second reference speed generation means 56 which determines the reference value VT2 by multiplying the VM by a constant CV2 being larger than the CV1 and less than 1.0, a first reference amount of deformation generation means 58 which determines the reference value ST1 by multiplying the VM by a constant CS1, a second reference amount of deformation generation means 59 which determines the reference value ST2 by multiplying the VM b a constant CS2 being larger than the CS1, and an estimation signal generation means 61 which estimates a specific obstacle at the time of VT1<VB<VT2 and ST1<SB<ST2.</p> |
