PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioning controller frequently using operation in a lean-burn region of high fuel efficiency for improving fuel efficiency and to secure cooling capacity by means of an air conditioner while saving fuel consumption so as to accomplish both of saving fuel consumption and securing cooling capacity. SOLUTION: In a refrigerating cycle compressor driven by means of an engine, a discharge capacity is controlled so that the sum of driving torque τe necessary for driving the engine with no load, driving torque τcomp necessary for driving the compressor, and driving torque τst, τalt necessary for driving a load device other than the compressor driven by means of the engine is reduced below engine output torque (βline) defining the limit of the lean-burn area.
