PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner carrier and an image forming device using the toner carrier by which toner damage is restrained and an excellent image is stably obtained in service environment where an image defect is easily caused such as in the case of long-term storage or long-term use. SOLUTION: This toner carrier forms a visible image by carrying toner on its surface, forming a toner thin film and supplying the toner to the surface of an image forming body in contact with or proximately to the image forming body in such a state. In the toner carrier and the image forming device constituted by attaching the toner carrier, the value of Z shown by an expression (1) Z=We/(We+Wr) obtained from the deformation recovery behavior of the surface of the toner carrier is >=0.70 in the case of measuring the universal hardness of the surface of the toner carrier (in the expression, We means the elastic energy of energy concerning the deformation of the surface obtained from the deformation recovery behavior of the surface of the toner carrier in the case of measuring the universal hardness of the surface of the toner carrier, and Wr means the plastic energy thereof.). |
