PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-weight inexpensive shaft wall with sufficient adaptability, whose strength can be easily adjusted according to a condition for the installation location thereof. SOLUTION: The shaft wall 1 is constructed by juxtaposing, at prescribed intervals, pile-like glued laminated members 3 extending vertically in the cuttable range, for the starting and arrival of a shield machine, of an excavator in the shaft wall 1. The shaft wall 1 is characterized as follows: the upper and lower end parts of the glued laminated member 3 are connected to a reinforcing material made of wide flange shapes 2; an interval part 4 is connected by a reinforcing material made of soil cement mortar; and the glued laminated member 3 is reinforced in such a manner as to be adjustable for strength by means of carbon fiber 6 for reinforcement in common with a glue laminated raw material 3a and an FRP laminated plate 5 for reinforcement.
