PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a room-temperature curing coating composition forming an organopolysiloxane coating having a long pot life, short in drying time by finger touch, curing at room-temperature and, therefore, field-applicable, and excellent in chemical durability. SOLUTION: This room-temperature curing coating composition comprises a main agent (A) and a curing agent (B), the former is a solution containing a silicon oligomer having an average structural unit of R1nSiOx/2(OH)y(OR2)z (wherein R1 is a 1-3C alkyl group, vinyl group, or phenyl group, R2 is a 1-3C alkyl group, 0.8<=n<=1.7, 2<x<3.2, y>0, z>0, and y+z=4-n-x) and the latter is a solution prepared by compounding M1(Che)p(OR3)q (wherein M1 is a metal having not less than three valents, Che is a chelating agent, R3 is a 1-4C alkyl group, p>=1, and q>=2) or its partially hydrolyzed product, a volatile acid, and an aminosilane coupling agent.
