PURPOSE: A method for verifying the validity of the user memory in an operating system is provided to verify the validity of the user memory by a simple access to the memory. CONSTITUTION: The method for verifying the validity of the user memory comprises of proclaiming a function situated in a certain coded area as a safeguard in order to control the system error resulting from the function in the coded area(S16), verifying the existence of the user buffer(S12), estimating the validity of the user's memory by calling the verifying function verifying the validity of the user's buffer, verifying proper identifier of the safeguarded area if the function is situated in the safeguard area(S34), verifying the registration of the function to the safeguard area(S36), estimating whether the function is a code if it is registered in the safeguard area(S40), modifying the hindrance found in the safeguard area into an error, and returning the error according to the standard code in case the function has proven to be a code(S44, S46).
