PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer in which other print job can be processed appropriately with priority to a print job under execution. SOLUTION: When 'postponement of job' is designated on an operating panel during print processing of a print job, the printer preserves a print job under print processing and switches the display content at the display section 8a of the operating panel from a display (a) of under print to a display (b) of data preservation. When the print data is preserved, a priority print job is printed and a display (c) of under print is presented at the display section 8a during print processing of the priority print job. In the display of under print, a mark 20 indicative of preservation of the data of a previous print job is displayed. Upon finishing print processing of the priority print job, print processing of a print job preserved before is carried out and the display content at the display section 8a is switched from the display (c) of under print to a display (b) of data preservation. |
