MOISTURE-ABSORBING/RELEASING FABRIC AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fabric improved in moisture absorbability/releasability, thus markedly improved in comfortableness related to stuffiness, stickiness, dry refreshingness and the like without impairing aesthetics and functionality including a soft feeling, color and glossiness inherent in hydrophobic synthetic fiber, and in particular having moisture absorbability/releasability with high washing durability. SOLUTION: This moisture-absorbing/releasing fabric contains >=60 wt.% of hydrophobic synthetic fiber, being such that highly moisture-absorbing/ releasing organic microparticles of acrylic polymer having both salt-type carboxyl group and crosslinked structure are bound to the surface of the fibers through graft polymerization.
