PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a liquid crystal projector that the enlargement and weight increase of an optical unit due to the use of an adjustment mechanism for positioning pixels between the liquid crystal panel of the optical unit and the focus distance of a projection lens and the liquid crystal panel, are suppressed and the increase of the number of components, the increase of assembly/adjustment man-hours accompanying it are suppressed, and pixel deviation due to disturbance and the limitation of liquid crystal panel cooling due to fluid resistance increase, etc., are eliminated. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal projector has such a structure that (1) the liquid crystal panel is directly fixed to a dichroic prism, (2) a flexible printed board is conductively fixed to the liquid crystal panel to connect it with a circuit means and (3) a rear polarizing plate is arranged only on the emission surface of the dichroic prism. |
