PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the amount of feedback of axial displacement of a trunnion into an optimum value matching the tilt angle of a power roller, while holding approximately constant the relationship between the amount of drive of an actuator and the tilt angle. SOLUTION: This shift controller includes a shift control valve 100 for controlling hydraulic pressure to a hydraulic cylinder driving a trunnion; a stepping motor 11 for driving the shift control valve 100 via a shift link 12; and a feedback means for transmitting the displacement of the trunnion about its axis and the axial displacement of the trunnion to the shift control valve 100 via the shift link 12. The feedback means comprises a cam plate 2 for transmitting the displacement of the trunnion about its axis, an L-link 7 for transmitting the axial displacement of the trunnion, and a feedback link 3 connecting the cam plate 2 with the L-link 7 and connected to the shift link 12.
