PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of wrinkle when a thin sheet is used, without generating sheet jamming when the thick sheet is used. SOLUTION: In the sheet feeding device provided with a primary sheet feeding means for successively carrying only printing sheet P at an uppermost position on a sheet feeding base and a secondary sheet feeding means 4 for guiding a tip of the printing sheet P carried by the primary sheet feeding means by a pair of guide members 12 and 13 and guiding the tip between a pair of second sheet feeding rolls 10 and for carrying the printing sheet P guided between the pair of the secondary sheet feeding rolls 10 to a carrying downstream side by rotation of the pair of the secondary sheet feeding rolls 10, a guide interval adjusting means 14 for varying the interval of the pair of the guide members 12 and 13 is provided. The guide interval adjusting means 14 varies the interval of the pair of the guide members 12 and 13 by rotating an eccentric cam 22 by rotation of an operating member 20 and shifting the upper guide member 12 in position in the vertical direction by following the position of a lower surface of the eccentric cam 22.
