PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber ferrule with which optical fiber at various parts of the ferrule and in the ferrule can be accurately arrayed on a passive basis. SOLUTION: The optical fiber ferrule is provided with a cover and a base, which have a pair of interpolative combination surfaces in contours. At least one of the combination surfaces has a trough for accepting an optical fiber. Each of the combination surfaces of the interpolative contours has external shape characteristics of roughly arraying the cover in both lateral and vertical directions to the base. Such array of the base versus the cover is passively performed by placing the cover on the base in the manner that the shape characterized part of the cover is fitted to that of the corresponding base.
