PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and reliably decide whether piping and wiring of an air- conditioner are normal, without being influence by an outside air temperature. SOLUTION: An outdoor control unit 33 of an outdoor machine 1 comprises thermistors 10-13 to detect a temperature of a refrigerant flowing through a heat exchanger for indoor machines 2-5, temperature sensors 24-27 to detect the temperature of a refrigerant flowing through piping on a return route for a refrigerant to a compressor 22 of an outdoor machine 1, and outside air temperature sensor 32 to detect an outside air temperature. In the outdoor control unit 33 of the outside machine 1, a spot where a refrigerant temperature is detected according to the detecting output of the outside air temperature sensor 32 is selected. Only a detecting temperature from the selected thermistor is effected and by discriminating whether the piping and the wiring are normal, no influence by an outside air temperature is exercised, and a trial run time is shortened. |
