PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a member (a front grill for an automobile) wherein horizontal plates 1 and vertical plates 2 are combined in a cross shape and fixed without using parts other than the horizontal plates 1 and vertical plates 2 and requiring skillfulness. SOLUTION: Notches 1a and 2a for mutually combining both plate materials are provided in both horizontal plates 1 and vertical plates 2 for combining in a cross shape, and recesses 1b are provided in a position where notched edges 2b of the vertical plates 2 are abutted in the horizontal plates 1 when combined in a cross shape. Through holes 4 are provided in a position which corresponds to the recesses 1b provided in the horizontal plates 1, the horizontal plates 1 and vertical plates 2 are mutually combined in a cross shape, and the notched edges 2b are presses in the recesses 1b provided in the horizontal plates 1 by spreading these through hole 4 by applying pressing force thereto.
