PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a aluminium nitride sintered compact which has low dielectric loss, high thermal conductivity, and high bending strength by leaving the amount of grain boundary components in a specific range, and provide a method for producing the compact. SOLUTION: The aluminium nitride sintered compact contains, as a sintering aid component, one kind or more of cation components, of which the average ion valence is represented by n. When the total ion number of aluminium and cation components is 100, the ratio of aluminium is in the range of >=100-6/n to <=100-0.9/n, and cation components exist in the grain boundary. |
