PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device provided with a fixing device which shortens the device rise time and the first copy time while not only reducing the power consumption but also improving the durability of the device. SOLUTION: When a document or input to an operation part on an original platen or in an automatic document feeder is detected as a preparatory operation which is at least one of a series of operations from power-on (main on) of the image forming device to the input operation (copy start), heating with a heating means which heats a recording medium carrying an unfixed image is started, and this heating is continued to perform the preheating operation until the temperature detected by a temperature detection means which detects the temperature of the heating means reaches a prescribed temperature, and fixing processing (copy operation) is started within a prescribed time after a fixing body and a pressure body are rotated by rotational amounts per prescribed time smaller than those for fixing processing during the preheating operation. |
