PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric transfer device having a semiconductor and an organic electrical conductor exhibiting improved energy conversion efficiency, and to obtain a new compound as a positive hole carrier. SOLUTION: The photoelectric transfer device has an improved adhesiveness between the amorphous organic electrical conductor and the semiconductor by setting the melting point of the organic electrical conductor below the operating temperature of the photoelectric transfer device. The positive hole carrier includes a derivative of triphenyldiamine expressed by general formula 1 as a constituent of the organic electrical conductor.
