PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem with the conventional fixing device having a heat roller which is inserted with a coil and is inductively heated by using this coil; the shortening of a distance between the heat roller and the coil is heretofore difficult while the insulation coating of the coil is protected. SOLUTION: A layer consisting of a fibrous heat resistant thermally insulating material is disposed on the inside surface of the heat roller, by which the shortening of the distance between the heat roller and the coil is made possible while the insulation coating of the coil is protected and the assurance of high heating efficiency is made possible.
