PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form bridging patterns by a sealing material without generating space parts not packed with liquid crystals within a cell space and to easily reinforce the liquid crystal cell. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device 20 is constituted by sealing the peripheral points of an electrode substrate 21 and a counter substrate to each other by a seal 22 for forming a cell, providing the points near the inner side of the seal 22 for forming the cell with the bridging patterns 24 along the longitudinal direction of the seal 22 for forming the cell, forming a nondisplay region 25 between the bridging patterns 24 within the cell space 201 and the seal 22 for forming the cell arranged closely to the bridging patterns 24 and has a display region 26 formed by precluding the non-display region 25 from the cell space 201. The bridging patterns 24 are constituted by arraying plural short-sized element assemblies 241 apart spacings 242 to a straight line form along the longitudinal direction of the seal for forming the cell. The non- display region 25 and the display region 26 are so constituted as to be communicated at plural points through the spacings 242 between the plural short-sized element assemblies 241.
