PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep on low-temperature oxidative reaction even when the injection amount of a fuel is increased to cause high-temperature oxidative reaction after a top dead center for compression. SOLUTION: When the injection amount of a fuel is increased, a pressure P of an inlet gas into a combustion chamber is increased while suppressing the rise of a temperature T of the inlet gas into the combustion chamber. Thus, the low-temperature oxidative reaction of the injected fuel is suppressed, the low-temperature oxidative reaction is kept on without causing the high- temperature oxidative reaction until the top dead center for compression is reached even when the injection amount of the fuel is increased, and the high- temperature oxidative reaction is caused after the top dead center for compression.
