PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer for packing a glass plate which has a compact shape and can be easily fitted and can be surely held on the top edge of the glass plate. SOLUTION: The spacer for packing the glass plate consists of a head part 2 hooked on the top edge of the glass plate and a partition part 3 to be placed between adjoining glass plates and has a hooking piece 4 on one side of the above described head part 2 and has the above described partition part 3 on another side.
