PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin container supporting body which can impart shape retaining property to a thin container, and at the same time, of which the attaching/detaching to/from the thin container is easy, and also, which can withstand a large number of usage. SOLUTION: The lower section of the main body of the thin container 1 wherein a mouth section 4 is erected from the upper end of a body section 2 is loosely fitted in a fitting cylinder 11. Then, to the peripheral wall of the fitting cylinder 11, the lower sections of both leg sections 13 of a U-shape supporting plate 12, which is fitted on the body section 2 of the container main body, are pivotally attached. Also, a protruding section 15 is formed on one of the peripheral wall of the fitting cylinder 11 or the lower sections of both leg sections 13, and a recess 16 is formed on the other. Thus, the protruding section 15 is removably engaged with the recess. In addition, at the upper section of the supporting plate 12, a recess 14 for fitting which is detachably fitted on the mouth section 4 of the container main body is formed.
