PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide yellow and magenta pigments which exhibit excellent adsorption characteristics and, at the same time, have improved sufficient stability against light, moisture, heat, air, chemicals or the like, a silver halide color photographic photosensitive material comprising a compound capable of forming yellow and magenta pigment images which exhibit excellent absorption characteristics and, at the same time, have improved stability against light, moisture, heat, air, chemicals or the like, and furthermore a silver halide color photographic photosensitive material which thereby exhibits excellent absorption characteristics and, at the same time, has improved sufficient stability against light, moisture, heat, air, chemicals or the like thereby. SOLUTION: 1-Aromatic heterocylic pyrazolylazo pigments which are represented by the formula (wherein R1 and R2 are each a hydrogen atom or a substituent; A is an atomic group necessary for the compound of the formula to form an azo pigment; and Het is a specific aromatic heterocyclic group) are used.
