PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel excellent in the balance of strength without largely changing the form of the conventional lens barrel. SOLUTION: A notched part for assembling a zoom ring 7 and a cam barrel 8 in a connected state is provided on a fixed barrel 2 equipped with a notched part in a part where a columnar part 15 being the connection part of the zoom ring 7 and the cam barrel 8 is moved from an image-formation surface side. The image-formation surface side of the fixed barrel 2 is held between a bayonet mount 6 and an outside appearance barrel 18 so as to reinforce a part whose strength is lowered by the notch.
