PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the manufacture of liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen by utilizing the waste cold heat of LNG or the like. SOLUTION: High-pressure air introduced by a high-pressure air introducing device 2 is cooled in a heat exchanger 3 utilizing the cold heat of liquefied natural gas(LNG), then, oxygen and nitrogen in the cooled high-pressure air are separated utilizing the difference between the magnetic susceptibility of oxygen and that of nitrogen by exerting a magnetic field, while providing the cooled high-pressure air with magnetic field devices 6, 9. Further, liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen are discharged out of a first and second choking valves 10, 12 utilizing Joules Thomson effect, respectively.
