PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure an optical loss variation of an optical part with high accuracy. SOLUTION: In an optical loss variation measuring instrument for measuring an optical loss variationβ1 of an object to be measured, by detecting the output light of the light signal allowed to be incident on the object to be measured at a predetermined time interval, the light signal allowed to be incident on the object to be measured is branched, and the branched light signals and the output light of the object to be measured are selected alternatively by a detected light selection means to detect respective photoelectric powers and the variation of photoelectric power, caused by a measuring system contained in the photoelectric power of the output light of the object to be measured are corrected, on the basis of the photoelectric powers of the branched light signals.
