PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new thiophene compound having inhibitory actions on the production of TNF(tumor necrosis factor)-α. SOLUTION: This new thiophene compound is represented by formula (I) [wherein, R1 and R2 denote each independently hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group which may have a substituent group, an acyl group which may have a substituent group, carbamoyl group which may have a substituent group, sulfonyl group which may have a substituent group or thiocarbamoyl group which may have a substituent group or R1 and R2 together denote an alkylaminoalkylidene group or NR1R2 denotes a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring which may have a substituent group; R3 denotes hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, nitro group, sulfonyl group, amino group which may have a substituent group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, carboxyl group, cyano group or carbamoyl group which may have a substituent group; Ar1 denotes a nitrogen-containing heteroaryl group which may have a substituent group; Ar2 denotes an aryl group which may have a substituent group or a cycloalkyl group which may have a substituent group; (m) denotes 1 or 2; and (n) denotes an integer of 0-2].
