PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the improvement of a heat exchanging efficiency of a heat exchanger. SOLUTION: The heat exchanger 17, provided on the lower surface side of the main body 11 of a refrigerator, is constituted of two sheets of heat exchanging plates 18, 19 provided so as to be opposed in up-and-down, and a heat exchanging pipe 20 arranged on the lower surface of the upper heat exchanging plate 18 and the upper surface of the lower heat exchanging plate 19 so as to be meandered while slits 21 are formed on the heat exchanging plate 18 so as to be positioned between the straight line parts of the heat exchanging pipe 20. An evaporating pan 22, provided on the heat exchanger 17, is provided with a water storage chamber 24 having a water shielding wall 23 lower than the peripheral wall of the evaporating pan 22 at a part of the heat exchanging pipe 20, which is opposed to the discharging side of a compressor 16, to receive the drain of defrosting into the water storage chamber 24.
