PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle speed arithmetic device capable of precisely calculating the speed of a vehicle even in a low-speed acceleration or deceleration. SOLUTION: The control device 20 for an electric power steering device stores the vehicle speed on the basis of the pulse period from a vehicle speed sensor 40 (S12) and calculates the acceleration or deceleration speed on the basis of the pulse period (S16). It further corrects the vehicle speed with the acceleration or deceleration speed in the interruption period of the vehicle speed operation and outputs the result (S44). Therefore, even if the pulse period becomes longer than the interruption period of the vehicle speed operation by the reduction in speed of the vehicle, the vehicle speed corresponding to the acceleration or deceleration of the vehicle can be outputted. |
