PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid leakage sensor which can detect even a slight liquid leakage and whose maintenance operation can be performed easily. SOLUTION: In the liquid leakage sensor, when the liquid leakage L reaches one end of a narrow space such as a slit S1, it creeps into the space (the slit S1) so as to be pulled into. Since a detecting face 19 is arranged inside the slit S1, even a slight liquid leakage 2 is pulled into the side of the sensing face 19, and the liquid leakage L can be detected immediately. After the liquid leakage has been detected, both transluscent members are dismantled in the maintenance operation to wipe off the liquid leakage L, the detecting face 19 is exposed, and the liquid leakage L can be wiped off easily from the detecting face 19. Since a ground glass is not used, as being different from a conventional liquid leakage sensor, the wiping-off operation is performed easily, and dust will not be generated, because a sheet of thin paper is not required.
